I love FLICKR...most of my current stream is from the New York Botanical Gardens-NYBG. This spring I visited the gardens every week during
the Orchid Show and captured hundreds of superb macro photos. Every inch of this place is special to me. The people who work there are very friendly. A membership is the best investment. Years ago, I studied Professional Floristry and Photography in their Continuing Education program.

I mainly shoot RAW and prefer
macro work. My Nikon D300 has many ultra slick features including a including and automatic
self-cleaning ultrasonic sensor and
3D Color Matrix Metering II.
The framed shot is analyzed by a 1,005-pixel sensor. 3D Color Matrix Metering II provides more intelligent auto exposure capabilities by referring to a look-up table for an exposure solution. The analysis includes subject motion and highlights, as well as being able to "infer" light sources for white balance settings.
